TRIO Student Support Services
Our Mission
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program providing services designed to help Madisonville Community College students succeed. We provide qualified college students with a series of academic support services:
- Study skill development to achieve academic success.
- Peer tutoring to master course content
- Academic and personal counselling to build confidence, enabling students to persist and graduate from Madisonville Community College or transfer to a four-year college or university.
SSS counselors design an individualized plan serving as a guide for accomplishing personal and academic goals for each SSS student based on his / her:
Student Support Services has 170 participants each year. If you are interested in qualifying for free services and receiving special personalized help in a caring environment while attending Madisonville Community College, please contact a staff member and request an application for services.

TRIO SSS participants are more likely to have a higher GPA and graduate that non-participants. When you succeed, we succeed.
