MCC to Hold Registration at Crittenden Co. Ed Tech Center
MARION, Ky. – Madisonville Community College will hold an open registration session for the fall semester at the Crittenden County Ed Tech Center on Tuesday, August 12 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Dulcie Hardin, education director at the Crittenden County Ed Tech Center, emphasizes that the schedule has been developed for students interested in upgrading their job skills.
'“The high cost of transportation should encourage local students to consider taking these classes, even if they are enrolled at another community college,” said Hardin.
Students interested in obtaining a real estate sales license can take RE 100 and 200, Real Estate Principles I and II, via interactive television from Madisonville. These courses satisfy the real estate education required by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission for the real estate salesperson license.
Hardin says that some students have had an interest in the 15-credit-hour business transfer certificate that MCC offers. Students interested in this option can take Introduction to Business (BA 160) and Writing I (ENG101), which are both offered at the Ed Tech Center in the fall.
An Introduction to Comparative Religion course (ANT/RS 130) is also on the fall schedule.
“This course has been very popular with people of all ages on our various campuses and should be very educational for students wanting to learn more about today’s major world religions,” said George Humphreys, extended campus director at MCC.
The last day to apply for admission for the fall semester is Friday, August 8, with classes beginning August 18. Tuition at MCC is the most affordable in the state and financial aid is available to those who qualify.Kentucky residents 65 and over may qualify for a tuition waiver.
