SACS Reaffirmation
Madisonville Community College is in the process of reaffirming its accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Commission on Colleges and preparing for a site visit in October of 2006. The reaffirmation process is a comprehensive internal review intended to help the college evaluate its efforts in enhancing the quality of student learning and the quality of programs and services offered to accomplish its mission. At the end of the review process, a team of peer evaluators, assisted by COC staff, will assess the extent to which the college is in compliance with accreditation requirements. During the review process, the college is required to produce two review documents — a Compliance Certification Report and a Quality Enhancement Plan.

The QEP Team welcomes input from faculty and staff regarding the development of the plan. Team members have already met with the faculty of each Division to discuss the project and gather input concerning the topic for the plan. To encourage continued faculty and staff involvement, the minutes of QEP Team meetings are posted for review at this site immediately following the meeting. At that time, an email reminder is sent to all faculty and staff noting the new posting and including the link to this site. You are encouraged to post comments regarding the work of the team using the feedback mechanism below. The QEP Team has established a review process to evaluate and consider the input. Of course, you may also contact any team member at any time to discuss the development of the plan.
